This is really something else my friend! I´m impressed that you where able to keep recording with that fucking neighbour knocking on the walls. You are true artist man,you deserve all my stars.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thanks a lot for the compliments, and for actually reading through my rant about my neighbor :p
Luckily, I am so used to my neighbor now that I can just lose myself in a track and ignore him, like I did here. But I couldn't try more recordings than 3, as I fear he might go insane.

As a joe satriani fan I must say this is real good, the feeling the melody everything was excellent. The only thing I can say is that it was too short, you should work on this piece and make It longer, always a pleasure hearing your stuff.

I didn´t know what to expect from this at first, but somehow you manage to capture the esence of the old and the new buenos aires,in the beginning I felt like taken to my childhood memories with my grandfather listening to the radio, and in the last part you manage to paint a really nice landscape of what the city is nowadays.I think you did a really good job with this piece.

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot man - we are glad especially you as argentine liked it :D Its always difficult to portrait a culture which is not yours since you dont want to be cliche. And stil there are little cliche details you just have to do. I really enjoyed to work on this piece a lot and was always a big piazolla fan.

Thanks a lot for leaving your thoughts here and all the best!

This reminded me of the old rpg games I used to play in my ps1 long time ago, like some stages from ffVII or something like that, anyway this one goes to my favorites list, keep the good work man.

johnfn responds:

Haha yeah I get a lot of comparisons to ff, prob because I love all that old japanese vg music. In fact just before I started writing this one I came up with a really great theme and was going to run with it before I realized it was just Terra's theme xD

Thanks for leaving a review :)

Beautiful piece man.

johnfn responds:

thanks bro!

Very relaxing,I really like It.

JosephAS1 responds:

Thanks!, glad you like it ;)

You have a real groovy song here dude.Maybe you should try a little bit of soloing instead of keeping the walking bass most of the time, but anyway I like what I hear soo far, keep up the good work man.

floppypawss responds:

hey thanks man. yeah i would like to expand on this. definitely would like to through in a horn player in,and some solos. this was done as a test run for my friends new fender rhodes, so he didnt feel like doing anything out of the ordinary, he was just messing around with the sound i guess... I am currently not in touch with the keyboard player, but i would like to take what i have hear, and get a saxophone player friend of mine to play the melody over it, and then we can trade solos. thanks for the review :)

Sounds really good my friend. With some strings on the background this could be a beatifull piece, maybe a nylon guitar would be a nice touch, but that´s maybe because I´m a guitar player and I need to hear some guitar somewhere always jaja.I want to hear the full song soon, keep up the good work.

JosephAS1 responds:

Thanks a lot Angelgris!, I'll take your suggestion into consideration :)

The intro sounds epic, the melody with the guitar solo was really soulfull, perhaps something like this could be used as an intro for a rpg game or something. This is great stuff.

Otra sombra mas en este laberinto de espejos inútil y cruel.
